HealthTex, division of VF Corp., invited advertising agencies to compete for its $3 million account. The children's clothing company seeks to begin activity again after brief hiatus of no advertising. Martin Agency of Richmond, VA previously held the account and they are also making a pitch to keep it. Others invited to make a pitch for the account are Trone Advertising of Greensboro, NC; and Wiley & Associates of Westlake Village, CA.

The company is stepping up its advertising spending with goal of reaching $1 billion in revenue within five years.
