Penn Hills, PA-based Stumpf Moving & Storage, a family-owned trucking company, serves as Chicago, IL-based Bekins Van Lines' local agent in Pennsylvania. Stumpf Moving & Storage handles the transportation of different cargo, primarily furniture products, to different places worldwide. The company, whose moving trucks have been mainstays in the Pennsylvania area, operates one piano truck, five box trucks, five tractor trailers and two warehouse facilities and hires as much as 22 workers, depending on the business season.

Only 90 jobs, but they're in steel

Damascus-Bishop Tube Co. is constructing a welded specialty pipe and tube products plant at Munhall, Mon Valley, in Pittsburgh, PA, that will create 90 new jobs within 1999, along with 125 more within three years. Damascus-Bishop President Brent Ward stated that Munhall was selected the site for the firm's 31-acre plant due to Damascus-Bishop's sheet steel sources in the locale. Damascus-Bishop represents the latest tenant at Munhall and is currently expanding from its operations in Greenville in Mercer County, PA.
