The Kojaian Cos.' Michael Kojaian intends to purchase One Oliver Plaza, a 38-story structure in downtown Pittsburgh, PA, for around $31 million, according to sources in the city's commercial real estate business. The price for the building could change depending on the result of the examination to be made by Kojaian. The Detroit, MI-based developer still has no known plan for the building should he complete the acquisition. The supposed proposal to buy the 617,000-sq-ft building would mean Kojaian will invest millions of dollars to renovate the facility for tenants.

Dallas firm buying Coraopolis office park

Property Ventures Ltd. has inked a contract to sell majority of the Cherrington Corporate Center in Coraopolis, PA, to Dallas, TX-based Lincoln Property Co. The sale agreement, which experts in the real-estate business value at $39 million to $35 million, provides Lincoln Property with a 30-day period to evaluate the Coraopolis office park facility and decide on whether to pursue the purchase of the office park or not. The Cherrington Corporate Center consists of 21 acres of land and six buildings with a net area of 330,000 square feet.

Sale of One Oliver Plaza tower going ahead

Kojaian Cos. of Southfield, MI, is acquiring the 617,000-sq-ft One Oliver Plaza office tower in Pittsburgh, PA, for an undisclosed amount. Kojaian Cos. owner Michael Kojaian stated that he intends to renovate the 38-story office tower at Sixth and Liberty avenues in downtown Pittsburgh into a Class A building. Industry experts believe that Kojaian may spend over $25 million for the purchase. Kojaian stated that he is currently looking into the possibility of purchasing other properties in the region.
