The reports of the International Advertising Bureau have revealed that the US online advertising revenue in 2003, which totaled $7.2 billion, displayed an increase of 20 percent from $6 billion in 2002. The reports indicate that online advertising is gaining importance as a marketing tool and is capable of reaching a large number of prospective customers as majority of the people are spending more time on the Internet.
