Bernard J. Ebbers, the former chief executive officer of the collapsed telecommunication firm WorldCom is at the center of multiple investigations by the Department of Justice and state authorities into the biggest corporate collapse in the US history. The probes reveal a portrait of corporate corruption and boardroom incompetence far exceeding the first headlines grabbing disclosures of accounting fraud at WorldCom.

David Zylka, is the newly named chief technical officer of UbiquiTel Incorporation, an affiliate of Sprint licensed to operate wireless communications in parts of 11 states and all of Idaho. Much of his job involves finding places to put UbiquiTel's radio antennas and other equipment in the rural parts of Arizona, Indiana and other states.

Ex-WorldCom CEO faces judge
Article Abstract:
Former WorldCom Inc. chief executive officer Bernard Ebbers pleaded not guilty to federal charges that he directed an $11 billion accounting fraud. Ebbers convicted on charges relating to conspiracy, securities fraud and other offenses was released on $10 million bond.
