Report: Center city lacks job growth for new towers
Article Abstract:
A study commissioned by 26-office building owners reveals that there is a need for 26,000 new jobs to justify the building developers propose to build in Center City. The building in Center City is a challenge because construction costs tend to be 15 % to 25% higher than in comparable cities and the city needs 8,000 new jobs to support the buildings already in place.
