RPS is a company formed by trucking executive Daniel J. Sullivan and engineer Steve Handy that has the capacity to deliver an average of 2.4 million packages per day. Sullivan, who is RPS' CEO, stated that although he is proud with what his company has achieved, he still aims to undertake several growth strategies. RPS, which consolidated its operations with Federal Express of Memphis, TN, in January 1998, has an annual revenue of $1.7 billion and has over 1,400 employees at its headquarters in Pittsburgh, PA.

EchoStar lined up for old mill site
Article Abstract:
EchoStar Communications of Littleton, CO, a provider of direct-to-home satellite television products and services, is expected to put up a customer service center in McKeesport Commons, a new industrial park, in McKeesport, PA. Marc Lumpkin, a spokesman of EchoStar, said the company had been searching for a site for the service center in some 40 cities in the US. The company is likely to occupy a portion of the 870,000-sq-ft building that was once part of the US Steel national Tube Works plant.
