West Baton Rouge on the move

Article Abstract:

Economic developments in West Baton Rouge Parish, Louisiana are discussed. Since 2003, at least 20 new subdivisions have been constructed or proposed. The parish's sales tax revenues increased by 20% in 2005, and another 20% in 2006. Parish President Riley Berthelot believes that another 7% to 8% sales tax increase will be achieved by the end of 2007. Other facilities in the parish are also presented.
