A modelling framework for complementary design of production planning and control systems
Article Abstract:
Four main statements that should be considered in the design of production planning and control systems (PPC-systems) consisting of human and technical sub-systems. Production models cannot be identical to production models needs for planning and control of production systems, and the complementary design of PPc-systems is only feasible if a fundamental change of mind from static to dynamic occurs.
