A note on trading mechanism and securities' value: The analysis of rejects from continuous trade

Stocks that moved from continuous trade back to single daily auctions were examined. The stock liquidity, price accuracy and value of those exiting continuous trade were observed to have dropped.

Political news and stock prices: the case of Saddam Hussein contracts
Article Abstract:
The effect of the Gulf War on stock prices, oil prices and exchange rates is examined. There was a gradual adjustment of stock prices to media information about the war and it had a positive effect on oil prices and it weakened the US dollar against the Euro.
