Tanker delay a headache for Boeing, stock analyst says

Article Abstract:

Stock analysts have indicated that the uncertainty regarding replacing the aging Air Force tanker planes have increased the worries faced by the Boeing Co.. Boeing Co. lost a contract to build 100 new KC-767 Air Force tankers due to a scandal of corruption and wrongdoing but if the Air Force decides to opt for new tankers then Boeing Co. will again have to rebid for the tanker contract.

Now joint, cargo aircraft a 'much broader' opportunity

Article Abstract:

Contractors have until May 17, 2006 to bid on a newly joint cargo aircraft opportunity as the Air Force has joined the Army in the effort. Two bidders would face testing of their offering later in 2006 that would help determine who wins the Joint Cargo Aircraft (JCA) program.
