Alkit Digital Imaging studio caters to artists

New York, NY-based Alkit Pro Camera Inc has opened its Alkit Digital Imaging studio in Manhattan, NY, in Jul 2000. The studio was established to expand Alkit Pro Camera's digital imaging services. Some of the services offered in the studio incude Fine Art Iris, Roland Giclee prints, large-format digital output, finishing services and Photo CD and Scitex scanning. Its customers consist primarily of advertising agencies, designers, publications and professional and fine art photographers.

F.J. Westcott Co. celebrates 75 years

Toledo, OH-based FJ Westcott Co is celebrating its 75th anniversary in 2001. The producer and distributor of photographic-related products was established in 1926 by CH Haas and frank Westcott as a wholesaler of umbrellas for dry goods stores. The Westcott product line now includes more than 300 items, with company president Tom Waltz inventing and obtaining patents for several of them. The firm markets its products throughout the US and to distributors in other parts of the world.

Creativity pays off in National Photo Month promotion

Article Abstract:

Photos Plus and Frick Drugs participated in the Photo Marketing Assn International's Ideas and Actions project. Both stores benefited from the promotions by earning additional sales and a $2,000 cash prize for following through on their efforts. Photos Plus saw the number of rolls processed increase by 15% more than the number typically processed in May. Frick Drugs saw the National Photo Month as an opportunity to promote some of its products.
