Armor Holdings to buy army truck maker

Armor Holdings Inc., a major armor manufacturer is planning to get into the military vehicles business with the acquisition of an Army truck maker, in a deal worth $755 million. Armor Holdings. Inc. has signed an agreement to acquire Stewart & Stevenson Services, Inc., a producer of military tactical wheeled vehicles including the Family of Medium Tactical Vehicles (FMTV), a primary Army transport.
