Article Abstract:

Sanders a Lockheed Martin Co., Countermeasure Division, Nashua, N.H., is being awarded a firm-fixed-price contract (appropriation number and dollar value will be issued with each delivery order) with an estimated not-to-exceed cumulative total of $30,000,000. This acquisition is for the procurement of 400 AN/ALQ-144A(V)1/3 or AN/ALQ-144(V)5 Infrared Countermeasure (IRCM) sets, 100 AN/ALM-178 test sets, support equipment, essential spare parts, maintenance training, and engineering and technical field support for Foreign Military Sales (Taiwan, Israel, and the Netherlands), and Department of Defense components. The AN/ALQ-144A(V)1/3s are IRCM systems that are used to protect helicopters against surface-to-air and air-to-air IR missiles when flown in a hostile environment. Work will be performed in Nashua, N.H., and is expected to be completed by Feb. 19, 2002. This is a sole source contract initiated on Aug. 24, 1998. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Communications & Electronics Command, Ft. Monmouth, N.J. (DAAB07-99-D-B605).

Science Applications International Corp., San Diego, Calif., is being awarded a $74,000,000 indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract to provide for systems engineering and technical assistance from Feb. 10, 1999, through Feb. 9, 2004, in support of a range of systems and programs. Funds will be obligated as individual delivery orders are issued. There were 89 firms solicited and three proposals received. Expected contract completion date is Feb. 9, 2004. Solicitation issue date was Nov. 5, 1998. Negotiation completion date was Dec. 7, 1998. United States Air Forces in Europe Contracting Squadron, Ramstein AB, Germany, is the contracting activity (F61521-99-D5000).
