Article Abstract:

DynCorp Aerospace Technology, Fort Worth, Texas, is being awarded $244,943 (base year total) as part of a $120,014,745 (total if all options are exercised) cost-plus-fixed-fee, cost-plus-award-fee, and fixed-price contract for the maintenance of Army Prepositioned Stocks (APS) Afloat. The responsibility for maintenance of APS will continue while afloat and during handoff in deployed contingency situations. This contract award covers a transition and contains 10 single-year evaluated options available through FY 2009, for a total estimated value of $120,014,745 over the life of the contract. Work will be performed in Asia, S.C. (Goose Creek County), and is expected to be completed by Sept. 30, 2009. Of the total contract funds $244,943 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There was an announcement in the Commerce Business Daily/World Wide Web on July 23, 1998, and four bids were received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Armament, Munitions & Chemical Command, Rock Island, Ill. (DAAA09-99-C-0004).

Article Abstract:

ITT Aerospace/Communications Division, a Division of ITT Industries Inc., Fort Wayne, Ind., was awarded on Jan. 14, 1999, a time and materials contract (appropriation number and dollar value will be issued with each delivery order), with a cumulative total of $7,970,017. The contractor will provide in-plant maintenance, repair, retrofit, and overhaul services and support equipment, assemblies, and parts for Single Channel Ground & Airborne Radio Systems (SINCGARS) managed contracts. Work will be performed in Fort Wayne**, Ind., and is expected to be completed by Dec. 31, 2001. There was an announcement on the World Wide Web on June 24, 1998, and one bid was received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Communications & Electronics Command, Ft. Monmouth, N.J. (DAAB07-99-D-C701).
