Article Abstract:

Alliant Techsystems Inc., Hopkins, Minn., is being awarded a $2,906,000 increment (base year total), as part of a $126,548,517 (total if all options are exercised) cost-plus-incentive-fee with award fee provisions, fixed-price incentive ceiling price, and fixed-price ceiling price contract. The contract is for the purchase of 1,500 rounds of M829E3 120 mm armor piercing fin stabilized discarding sabot training (APFSDS-T) cartridges for research and development efforts; 4,000-5,000 rounds for pre-production; 8,000-10,000 rounds for first year production, and 8,000-10,000 for second year production. Work will be performed in Hopkins, Minn. (20%); Toone, Tenn. (1%); Jonesborough, Tenn. (12%); Louisville, Ky. (1%); Totowa, N.J. (11%); Coachella, Calif. (1%); Radford, Va. (14%); Middletown, Iowa (3%); and Rocket City, W.Va. (37%), and is expected to be completed by Aug. 31, 2004. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were two bids solicited on March 18, 1998, and two bids were received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Tank-automotive & Armaments Command, Picatinny Arsenal, N.J. (DAAE30-98-C-1094)

Article Abstract:

Quality Research Inc.*, Huntsville, Ala., is being awarded a $1,181,046 increment of an $11,216,440 (base year total) cost-plus-award-fee contract, with a cumulative total of $73,363,606, if all options are exercised. The Command Information Management System requirement is for operation and maintenance, as well as development, implementation, and integration of software and hardware technology enhancements for the United States Army Space and Missile Defense Command's automated information system. Work will be performed in Huntsville, Ala., and is expected to be completed by August 26, 2005. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There was an announcement on the World Wide Web on December 16, 1997, and seven bids were received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Space & Missile Defense Command, Huntsville, Ala. (DASG60-98-C-0017)
