Weaving the right stuff

Article Abstract:

Yorklyde is a United Kingdom textile company, and the sector has faced problems which have affected stock prices. Yorklyde is well placed within the market and focuses on upmarket goods. Orders have dropped, but less than average for the sector. The company also has hopes for a fabric called Replin which is aimed at the transportation industry. The company's profit is forecast at 500,000 pounds sterling for 1998 to 1999 by Bell Lawrie White. Yorklyde should benefit from an upturn due to high fixed costs which mean that rises in sales push up profits rapidly.
