Article Abstract:

Patrick Shanahan, vice president and general manager of Missile Defense Systems (MDA) at Boeing stated in March 2006 that missile shield systems are building momentum so much that NATO plans to soon award a contract to provide the Atlantic alliance with enhanced capabilities, by September 2006. Boeing, Northrop Grumman Corp., and Science Applications International Corp (SAIC), are the three-industry unit competing for this contract worth around US $119 million over three to four years.

Aerial tanker: 767 ready if Air Force is-Boeing

Article Abstract:

The US Air Force need for supplying tanker would solved by Boeing due to its ability to respond quickly, depending on the Air Force's requirement. The biggest challenge the Air Force has had with respect to the use of aerial refueling tankers in the Iraq was, has been not the amount of fuel they could carry, but the sheer number of tankers that the Air Force could keep in the sky at any one time.
