Boeing may sell India eight multi-mission maritime aircraft

Article Abstract:

The Boeing Co. announced that it might sell India eight modified versions of the P-8A Multi-mission Maritime of Aircraft (MMA) over four years. In response to request of proposals by India, bids were to be submitted, with first deliveries taking place within 48 months of the contract award and if the Boeing proposal for a long rang reconnaissance and submarine-hunting aircraft is approved by India, there would be ample of work on the program for companies in India.

Testing JSF, Lockheed just latest customer at 'Best' wind tunnel

Article Abstract:

Lockheed Martin Corporation in 2004 plans to bring a full-scale section of its still-developmental next generation F-35 Joint Strike Fighter to the Icing Research Tunnel (IRT) at NASA Glenn Research Center in Cleveland, Ohio. At six feet high, nine feet wide, and a test section that is about 20 feet long, the IRT is the largest and fastest refrigerated wind tunnel in the United States.

Materiel Command showcases new soldier tech

Article Abstract:

The Army Materiel Command (AMC) unveiled at the annual Association of the United States Army meeting in Washington, a range of innovative technologies and systems for aiding troops in the field. The Talon robot, a mobile platform designed for difficult terrain, was demonstrated along with its armed version, SWORDS (the Special Weapons Observation Reconnaissance Detection System).
