Canadian Videotex Aims at U.S. Farmers
Article Abstract:
Infomart, a Canadian agribusiness videotex service is planning to offer Grassroots, a full color videotex service to farmers in three eastern states this summer. Infomart will be marketing this service with the help of three American farm cooperative partners. Farmers can access the videotex through specially equipped television sets, personal computers or business computer terminals. The service promises continually updated information on the weather and commodity markets. It will also offer a variety of other farm related information and other services. Infomart is not without competitors in the United States, there are several other companies that offer similar services.

The 'Detroit Study' is a study that measures the impact of advertising on the sales force of the advertiser. The goal is to determine if company advertising impacts its sales force's behavior or selling strategy. The respondents were knowledgeable concerning the advertising of their companies. Many respondents felt they have benefited from their company's advertising.
