Chemring
Article Abstract:
Chemring's sales for 1st half 1996 to 1997 have been affected by destocking by customers of chaff counter-measures. These products decoy missiles and are essential items, so Chemring's sales should rise again in 2nd half 1996 to 1997. The company also has an exceptional charge of 794,000 pounds related to reorganization, in addition to which Chemring's profit for 1996 to 1997 will be affected by a 500,000 pounds charge related to a plant closure. Chemring should achieve a profit of 9 million pounds sterling for 1996 to 1997 rising to 10.3 million pounds for the following year.
