China Trade May Spurt 35% in '84

Article Abstract:

It is expected that United States-China trade should increase by thirty-five per cent in 1984. Several problems still have not been resolved such as how copyrights, trademarks, and patents can be protected. However, most major issues have been resolved. The diplomatic and economic events that have lead to the optimistic forecasts are discussed. The most likely categories for increased trade are transportation, electronics, and telecommunications. Investment in energy exploration and production equipment is also expected.
