Clark says DD(X) costs not fairly weighed
Article Abstract:
The US Chief of Naval Operations (CNO), Admiral Vern Clark, recommends a balanced examination of the costs versus the benefits of the DD(X) destroyer and believes that in the long run the ships would provide great operations savings. He spoke in response to suggested cost caps being set by some legislators on the DD(X) destroyer as a reaction to the continued increase in the cost of building the ship.
