An ideal candidate

Article Abstract:

The United Kingdom government is happy to continue with privatizations, and the Post Office is a possible candidate. The government seems to have decided against full privatization, but sees greater freedom as necessary for the Post Office. There is increased competition from European postal services, e-mail, fax, and pivate courier services. The Post Office is setting up alliances, but needs to be able to reinvest profits rather than paying them to the Treasury.
