Price data can also be downloaded to some investment software products through services like Financial Alert and Market Eye. Internet data is likely to allow some investors access to data from all over the world, as well as the UK, and charting services and online trading are likely to be developed.

UK software companies have not yet marketed their products to any great extent using the Internet, though this looks set to change.
