Enic has announced an agreement with Time Warner giving Enic the lead in a JV to create restaurants using themes from movies in the Time Warner library, as well as the Warner Brothers Stores, selling Warner Brothers merchandise. The agreement is similar to one which Greenhills reached with Turner Home Broadcasting. Greenhills later went into liquidation. Turner is part of Time Warner, but Time Warner management may not have known about the Greenhills agreement when they talked with Enic.

Employee stock-ownership schemes can help the performances of certain types of businesses such as those where companies need to retain skilled staff. They do not guarantee enhanced performance in all types of companies, as is shown by the example of privatized bus companies in the United Kingdom. Staff turnover is often high in this industry, and labor relations were not improved. Some retailers have run successful stock ownership schemes, and they include Asda.
