Driving errors, driving violations and accident involvement
Article Abstract:
Lapses due to absent-minded behaviours with the only consequence for the perpetrators, errors due to misjudgments and failures of observations which can be hazardous to others and deliberate violations are the three-fold typology of aberrant driving behaviour as revealed by this study. The study conducted on 1,600 drivers used the Driver Behaviour Questionnaire. Relevance of these results with respect to the road safety is discussed.
