Family values
Article Abstract:
Chartered accountants are in a good position to help their business clients develop a successful exit strategy. More than the tax considerations, accountants must focus on personal and family issues in trying to help their clients move their business and wealth through the family. This involves knowing whether the clients can afford to retire by determining whether they have enough wealth other than their business. It is also important to ensure that the management of the business is strong and that there are means of resolving conflicts.
