Firm uses Internet as potent PR tool

Article Abstract:

Metabolife, a diet pill maker, relies on its Internet site designed by public relations firm Sitrick Krantz and Co's office in Los Angeles, CA, to promote its products. An ABC News interview was released by Metabolife on the Web site before a '20/20' segment came out. Aside from a 15-second ad that appeared during '20/20's Oct 15, 1999, broadcast, Metabolife also promoted its Internet site via one-time, full-page ads in The New York Times and New York Post and nationwide radio commercials.
