The five areas where information technology marketing activities are expected to intensify in the first six months of 1993 include networking, mobile computing, price-versus-performance desktop computers, operating systems and multimedia. Market potentials for network operating systems is expected to increase. These include Novell, Banyan and Microsoft's Windows for Workgroups. Mobile computing products with high marketing potentials due to their flexibility include cellular modems, mobile printers and mobile fax machines.

For marketers, economy has priority over cutting healthcare costs

Article Abstract:

The results of a survey of business marketers conducted by Leo J. Shapiro & Associates on healthcare costs are discussed. More than three-quarters of the respondents disagreed that reducing healthcare costs should be given first priority by Pres Clinton. They opined that Pres Clinton should give first priority to the economy in his government reform programs. It was the consensus that people can afford the high cost of healthcare if the economy would improve.
