Article Abstract:
Bob Brown is leaving Price Waterhouse Canada in 1996 after serving as its chairman for six years to assume the chairmanship of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants. Brown will also serve the Canadian government as member of the Committee on Business Taxation, advise the PW World organization on insurance issues and practice private consultancy. Brown, who graduated with a graduate degree in economics at age 22, was an achiever since his boyhood. Brown credits his parents for his love of discipline, compassion, industry and passion for reading.

The Financial Planners Standards Council of Canada (FPSCC) has developed a set of standards for financial planners. The FPSCC will grant a 'certified financial planner' designation to individuals designated as Chartered Financial Planner, Registered Financial Planner and Chartered Financial Consultant by June 30, 1997 while other individuals must pass the FPSCC's professional proficiency examination also scheduled for June 1997.
