Article Abstract:

Engaging employees is critical in getting the best out of them and there are several interventions that can increase levels of employee engagement and therefore organizational performance. One simple method is to offer rational motivators, such as financial incentives, versus emotional motivators, such as the need to engender a belief in the goals of the organization, a feeling of belonging and appreciation.
