Glamour is in the eye of the beholder

Article Abstract:

Nasdaq has performed better than the S and P 500 index and the Dow Jones Industrial Index, and investors may be attracted to technology stocks, but should not ignore less glamorous stocks. Investors' behavior is not always easy to understand, and the S and P index may be overvalued. Glamor stocks that are selected with care may continue to be profitable, but problems could arise, and investors may not be able to sell easily when stock prices fall.

A piece of the action

Article Abstract:

US stock prices have risen, and it is easy to be pessimistic and predict a fall, yet prices may rise again if falls trigger buying, and push prices to new highs. Investors can sell some of their holdings if a stock price rises sharply, though long term investors can reap the biggest rewards. Investors are tending to focus on the internet and technology stocks, and are sometimes ignoring major Wall Street companies. There are a number of factors affecting these major companies' stock prices, such as concern over high valuations.
