Guide: a review of a multi-dimensional word processor
Article Abstract:
Guide from Office Workstations Ltd is a word processing software package for the Macintosh computer. Guide uses hypertext to provide 'multi-layered' access to information, allowing cross-referencing of documents and integration of text and graphics. Guide uses 'text buttons' to conceal and access layers of text. One of four buttons, or functions can be applied to each document: Replacement, Inquiry, Reference, and Note. Guide is a very powerful program with applications for inventory control, training, and office management, as well as word processing and graphics. One flaw of Guide is that it may be too powerful for individual users to utilize fully. Guide is priced at 135 pounds sterling.
