HDTV stars at annual CEA trade show in Las Vegas

Gourvitz Communications was chosen to produce the high-definition TV (HDTV) coverage of the annual trade show of the Consumer Electronics Assn. The company, which confirmed that the job was the toughest it had taken, said that the difference between regular and HDTV broadcast can be initially bewildering. Some of the early problems encountered by Gourvitz Communications include selecting from the various HDTV formats and distributing the finished product on the different monitors donated by the attendees.

BSMG launches $50M drive to promote biofoods

BSMG Worldwide is handling the $50-million campaign aimed at promoting genetically modified (GMO) food products in the US. The combination PA, PR and advertising campaign, which was launched in Apr 2000, is funded by a coalition composed of life sciences firms such as Novartis, Monsanto and DuPont. The BSMG-led campaign, aimed at promoting GMO products as safe and environment friendly, is designed to prevent a public reaction to the products that is similar to what is happening in Europe.

Marriott checks in at BSMG Worldwide
Article Abstract:
Mariott International Inc has announced that it has consolidated its US accoount at BSMG Worldwide. Under the terms of the deal, BSMG will be responsible for Marriott Hotels, resorts, SUites and Copnference Centers, as well as the company's Courtyard, Fairfield Inn, Springhill Suites, residence Inn and TownePlace Suites Brands. BSMG, however, will continue working with a cluster of regional firms, inclduing Rogers and Cowan.
