Holiday money

Article Abstract:

An evaluation of different forms of holiday money is necessary before embarking on a trip. Although cash money may be the least expensive and simplest form, it is also highly prone to theft. On the other hand, the relative minimum of risk in bringing traveler's checks in sterling or in foreign currency makes this form more preferrable. However, commissions of as much as 1% to 2% are charged when purchasing and cashing these checks. Also, charges of eight pounds sterling a year for Eurocards and two pounds sterling for every Eurochecks may also discourage travellers from using these forms. Girochecks and cards are cheaper alternatives for Girobank customers. The best form of handling bills while travelling remains to be a debit or credit card, although surcharges, annual charges and commissions have diminished the desirability of these cards for people going on vacation.

Cautious lenders beckon borrowers

Article Abstract:

Lenders are being cautious in granting loans for the purchase of commercial property in view of the increasing rate of business failures, weak property values and mounting bad debts. However, even if lending has become more risky, there are lenders who are still willing to provide financing. For instance, such brokers as Walbrook Business Finance Ltd and UCB Group, can make commercial mortgages arrangements. Finance brokers such as Professional and Commercial can help professional practices obtain secured and unsecured finance, and commercial concerns in getting secured finance. These commercial finance brokers may ask for an application or consultancy fee, or they may decide to opt for commissions. The most common strategies for loan repayment are endowment, capital and interest, interest only, and pension.
