Researchers from New York and Singapore used gene overexpression to increase cytokinin levels in Agrobacterium tumefaciens plasmids to generate more shoots from transgenic tobacco and lettuce plants.

Combined transductional and transcriptional targeting improves the specificity of transgene expression "in vivo."

Researchers in the U.S. and the U.K. designed an adenoviral system for gene delivery to pulmonary endothelium. This method could be used as a model for other in vivo transgene delivery systems.
