Infomercials get slice of business ad budgets

Article Abstract:

Infomercials are fast emerging as an effective tool in an aggressive consumer marketing campaign. Business-to-business advertisers are gaining interest in this interactive approach to advertising. Production costs are low and the response rate from target audiences is high. GTE, a Fortune 50-level company, and Bell Atlantic Corp's Chesapeake and Potomac Telephone in Baltimore are some of the companies which have found infomercials effective.

Top IBM OS/2 ambassadors 'take home the gold.' (International Business Machines Corp.'s OS/2 Ambassador Award Program) (Incentives at Work)

Article Abstract:

The launching of the third phase of International Business Machines (IBM) Corp's OS/2 Ambassador Award Program is announced. The program is designed to give recognition to IBM personnel who have volunteered to sell the company's new easy-to-use advanced operating system for personal computers. About 22,000 employees of IBM have participated in the program since its introduction in Mar 1992.
