Air Force Maneuvers to ensure it gets 220 C-17s -Analyst
Article Abstract:
Daniel Goure, vice president and defense programs analyst with the Lexington Institute, states that the Air Force is blocking private firms from buying C17 transport planes so that the air service can be sure it will get to buy all 220 C-17s it wants for itself. He further added that the Air force brass want to be sure that the Congress will fund all 220 aircraft rather than cutting off purchases at 180.

General satisfied with stryker MGS, 'Happy' with Boeing FCS role

Gen. Richard Cody, vice chief of staff for the Army stated that the Stryker armored vehicle Mobile Gun System (MGS) is not facing any problem with the transportation facilities. The Strykers are the kind of vehicles that are able to move on their own and can cover substantial distance in less time.
