Slater Growth fund looks overhyped
Article Abstract:
The Johnson Fry Slater Growth trust has a strong track record, ranking first in the UK Growth sector of unit trusts in 1995. The fund has grown rapidly and a strong performance by a small fund may not be sustainable over the longer term. The fund manager's is Mark Slater, son of Jim Slater who developed the Company Refs system. This aims to slect stocks with potential for strong growth in earnings and a good cash flow. The formula has worked well but there is no certainty that it will continue.
