Mimetic entry and bandwagon effect: the rise and decline of international equity venture in China

Article Abstract:

International equity joint ventures (EJV) had been the maajor entry method in China among foreign companies during the 1990s. However, mergers and acquisition had a significant effect during the decline of EJV. The influence of mimetic entry on the bandawagon phenomen involving EJV is also examined.

Outside directors and firm performance during institutional transitions

Article Abstract:

The study reveals that outside directors make a difference in firm performance during institutional transitions, if it is measured by sales growth and they have little impact on financial performance such as return of equity (ROE).

Organizational slack and firm performances during economic transitions: two studies from an emerging economy

Article Abstract:

The ways in which organizational slack affects firm performances are discussed. Suggestions regarding the relationship between the organizational slack and firm performance during economic transitions are also highlighted.
