Lockheed Martin Corporation has identified and eliminated glitches that caused earlier failures of the Joint Air to Surface Standoff Missile (JASSM), and the weapon in January 2006 scored two more success to roll up a recent lustrous 11-out-of-13-attempts test record. Corrections of the glitches have addressed congressional doubts about the JASSM program, leaving it on track with $100 million in current funding.

Lockheed team US101 announces GE helo engine tests

Team US101, led by Lockheed Martin Corp. announced that it has tested General Electric Co. (GE) engines in a helicopter similar to the US101 aircraft and that the team will offer the Navy for use as the next Marine One VXX presidential transport helicopter. Ramsey states that the helicopter will undergo extensive testing before it is used to transport the president.
