Article Abstract:

Electric Boat Corp., Groton, Conn., is being awarded a modification to previously awarded contract N00024-96-C-2100, for four new Virginia class attack submarines. $1,063,362,319 is being placed today against the execution of a $4,236,700,037 cost-plus-incentive-fee contract modification. Work will be performed in Newport News, Va. (36%), at various other sites throughout the U.S. (28%), Quonset Point, R.I. (18%), and Groton, Conn. (18%), and is expected to be completed by December 2007. Contract funds will not expire by the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Arlington, Va., is the contracting activity.

Newport News Shipbuilding, Newport News, Va., is being awarded a $45,387,055 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for advance procurement and advance construction for the CVN 77 aircraft carrier program. This contract includes three options which, if exercised, would bring the total cumulative value of this contract to $190,430,693. Work will be performed in Newport News, Va., and is expected to be completed by December 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Arlington, Va., is the contracting activity (N00024-98-C-2104).

Bath Iron Works Corp., Bath, Maine, is being awarded a modification to previously awarded contract N00024-96-C-2800, for lead yard class services on the DDG 51 Aegis class destroyer program. $38,230,102 is being placed today against the execution of a $41,855,039 cost-plus-award-fee contract option. Work will be performed in Bath, Maine, and is expected to be completed by October 1999. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Arlington, Va., is the contracting activity.
