New IT portal for members

Article Abstract:

The institute's IT Faculty is working with Microsoft to create a new IT portal for business members. The aim of this portal is to up the ante in terms of knowledge on IT subjects by providing information and advice to chartered accountants working in the UK businesses about the benefits and risks associated with IT and systems to manage information effectively in their organizations.

The launch of 'Independent Directors Register' on 4 November 2003 considered the capabilities and efforts of Chartered accountants on the board. This service would offer members help in working lives with more initiatives in the near future.
