Next move missing from BBA's game plan

Article Abstract:

BBA has improved its performance under the leadership of Roberto Quarta, selling some loss-making activities, and improving results on others. It is unclear where further efficiency gains can be achieved, and organic growth is needed. Growth prospects are not encouraging for many of BBA's activities. Acquisitions are a solution, but they are difficult to locate. The company's share price has performed well, and Quarto is a skilled manager, but BBA does not possess markets nor products to justify the share price of May 1996.
