Nurturing your niche - part II

Article Abstract:

Photographic laboratories and camera stores can employ certain strategies that will strengthen their niche market positions. A good strategy is to seek a service niche instead of a product niche. Camera stores should not just sell cameras but should give the best service possible to customers. A regular customer survey will also help photographic businesses become successful since it could lead to the identification of the businesses' top five strengths. Another excellent strategy is to become a single- source supplier to capture a bigger share of the market.

Controlling the air quality in your lab

Article Abstract:

Photofinishing services firms will know when their laboratories are adequately ventilated when nobody complains about smells and no exposure limits are exceeded. However simple this may seem, however, it requires lab operators to know what chemicals are present in their facilities, in what concentrations they are present, how much of the chemicals are getting in the air and, to some degree, the personal sensitivities of staff.
