OK, earnings on target.... Now what about tomorrow?
Article Abstract:
'Selling on the news,' or disposing of a company's stocks upon its announcement of earnings seems to be the prevailing trend in securities trading. CompUSA's stocks, for instance, fell more than 10 points, as a result of this phenomenon, upon its announcement of earnings. Among insiders, one area where this trend is quite pronounced is the computer networking sector. Examples are Ascend Communications, 3M Corp. and ADC Telecommunications Inc.
