Out of a spin
Article Abstract:
Drummonds is a UK fabric producer with four businesses, Armatex, Stroud Riley, Crowther and James Drummond. Crowther is the only Drummond division making a loss and this has to be remedied and debt repaid. The company's borrowings amount to 7 million pounds sterling. Drummond argues that it is able to make sufficient profit to justify this debt level. The company has resumed paying dividends, and a profit of 1.3 million pounds sterling is forecast for 1995-1996.
