Open season in Taiwan

Article Abstract:

Kwang Hua Investment and Trust, the Taiwanese investment management company, rose NT$3 billion for an investment fund targeting financially troubled Thailand. Kwang Hua Investment and Trust is the first Taiwanese investment management company to offer a Thai fund. The Taiwanese foreign investment fund management sector is worth NT$700 billion.

COFCO unveils China's largest CP

Article Abstract:

COFCO Capital Corp., a subsidiary of China National Cereals, Oils and Foodstuffs Import and Export Corp., launches a new commercial paper programme that will help to finance its international trade. The programme looks to be a way for China to reposition itself in the international banking industry.
