Outwater Plastics has introduced a new metal-laminate hybrid called NuMetal that can be used in light-duty vertical and horizontal applications. NuMetal is made from embossed, silk-screened, acid- or hand- painted single dimensions or from 3-D metals attached to a phenolic paper backing under intense heat and pressure. It is suitable for use in high- traffic retail environments, as displays, store fixtures or kiosks, due to its high abrasion resistance.

W. L. Gore and Associates Inc, inventor of Gore-Tex fabric, launched Gore- Tex Shoe Tank Display to showcase the waterproof benefits of Gore-Tex footwear. The company developed 'For City Streams,' a targeted approach for business casual Gore-Tex footwear. The fully integrated marketing program features in-store point-of-purchase materials as well as advertising in billboards, city buses, train stations and newspapers.
